The Single Horse Method of Play is a handicapping method designed to find a single horse to play in a race that will win a race more than lose.
The final objective of this method is to find a single horse to play by throwing out horses. Once they do not fit one of our criteria explained below then the horse will be thrown out of the race. And we will continue handicapping only those that are remaining. We will continue handicapping until we are left with only one horse.
You can use any type of Past Performances that give you information on the last 3 races that each horse has run.
The method is broken down into getting our contenders in the race and then throwing out the contenders to end up with one horse. Example races are also included for you with the Past Performances for you to follow along with to see how we come up with the winner. This method is not difficult. And the prices are great.

CONTENDERS
FINDING THE CONTENDERS IN A RACE
The following horses will be our only contenders in each race that we handicap. The are determined by their Morning Line Odds.
Morning Line Odds
The horse must be one of the low 5 morning line odds in today's race.
To find the Morning Line odds of a horse either look in the program of the race or you can get the information in any Past Performances that you use to handicap the races. If there is a tie in the 5th morning line then include all ties.
Example of Morning Line
1. 6-1
2. 5/2
3. 8-1
4. 2-1
5. 10-1
6. 12-1
7. 15-1
8. 4-1
9. 5-1
In the above example the low 5 Morning Line Odds are
4. 2-1
2. 5/2
8. 4-1
9. 5-1
1. 6-1
The above are the 5 lowest morning line odds. If you have a tie on the 5th Low Morning Line Odds then you would also include that horse or horses to be a contender.
Example:
If there was another 6-1 ( the 5th Low Morning Line Odds) horse using the race example above or you would also include this horse. In this particular example there are no other 6-1 horses.
We will throw out any other horse in the race. In this example #3, #5, #6 and #7 are thrown out of the race. The remaining 5 horses are the only ones that we will handicap. This of course cuts your work down tremendously.
Exclusions
Throw Out any one or more of your low 5 Morning Line Odds that is 12/1 or higher.
Throw out also a 10/1 Morning Line Odds if this is one of your Low 5 Morning Line Odds and today's race is Claiming 10, 000 or under.
If the race is not a Claiming Race or is a Claiming Race higher than 10,000 a 10/1 Morning Line Odds that is in your Low 5 Morning Line Odds is included if the horse finished 5th or less in it's last race and finished 10 lengths or less. Also the horse must be coming back to the races in 45 days or less and is either returning to the same class race or dropping in class from the last race to today.
Any other horse or horses with higher Morning Line Odds are eliminated from the race and we will continue to handicap with only these contenders.
Throw Out Factors on Remaining Horses
AS SOON AS YOU FIND A HORSE THAT HAS ONE OF THESES THROW OUT FACTORS ELIMINATE.
Non - Winners Not Maiden Races
Keep in any horse that has Won a race this year. This is found by looking at the record box.
Throw out any horse that has less than 9 starts this year or 2 years without a win.
If the horse has won only won 1 race this year check the number of starts that the horse ran in the last 2 years. This information is found in the record box. Total the number of race starts that the horse had in the last 2 years. If they total 16 starts or more then throw this horse out of the race. But if the horse had less than 16 starts in the last 2 years with only 1 win then the horse is to remain in the race.
Any horse that has won more than 1 race in the last 2 years automatically remains in the race.
Non-Winners in 2 Years - Not Maiden Races
Throw out any horse that has not won a race in the last 2 years. Keep in only if the total number of races the horse has started in is less than 8 for both years.
DO NOT throw this horse out though if the horse finished 2nd in the last race out AND was less than 1 1/2 lengths behind the winner AND is not going up in class today. Also
DO NOT throw out any horse without a win in 2 years if the horse is dropping more than 3 class levels from the last race to today.
If any horse or horses are Non Winners throw them out of the race.
Maiden Races
Throw out any Maiden horse that has had 8 races or more this year or in the last 2 years.
Continue on with only the remaining horses.
The above factors Morning Line Odds and Non-Winners can be done without looking at the past performance lines. Do these first in your handicapping then continue on.
Odds Last Race
Look at the last race out. The last race odds of any horse remaining must be 40/1 or less.
If any horse or horses fit this throw out factor the horse is eliminated from the race. Continue on with only the remaining horses.
Odds Last 2 Races
Look at the last 2 races on the horse. We are looking for the final odds the horse went off at each of their last 2 races.
Races Other Than Maiden Races
One of the last 2 final odds that the horse went off must be less than 13 1/2 odds . Only exception is if the horse is dropping more than 2 class levels from the last race out to today's race.
If a horse finished 2nd in it's last race then keep in if the lowest odds are less than 25 1/2 odds.
Maiden Races
One of the last 2 final odds that the horse went off at must be less than 25 1/2 odds.
Continue on with only the remaining horses.
Finish Lengths in the Last Race
Any horse that finished less than 14 lengths is to remain in the race.
If a horse finished between 14 and 15 1/2 lengths behind in the last race, the horse will only remain in the race if the horse is not going up in class.
If a horse finished between 15 3/4 and 25 lengths behind in the last race, the horse will only remain in the race if the horse is dropping 4 class levels or more from the last race to today's race.
If any horse finished more than 25 lengths out in the last race, the horse is automatically thrown out.
Continue on with only the remaining horses.
Lengths Behind in the Middle or 2nd Call of the Last Race
Throw out any horse that is more than 15 3/4 lengths at the middle call (2C) of the race.
Continue on with only the remaining horses.
Days from The Last Race Out.
Keep in any horse remaining that finished less than 68 days in the last race out as long as their 2nd race back was not more than 270 days (9 Months) from the last race out.
Example of Throw Out

Bet And Win Single Player
2nd Race Back is September 21, 2013
This horse is thrown out. The last race is July 1 which is only 21 days from today's race. That is ok. But the 2nd race back is September 21, 2013 which is more than 270 days from July 1, 2014.
2/1 Odds and Less Morning Line Odds
If the horse has a morning line odds of 2/1 or lower than we will extend that time period to less than 90 days. Again as long as their 2nd race back was not more than 270 days (9 Months) from the last race out. If more than 89 days throw out.
If any horse or horses fit this throw out factor the horse is eliminated from the race. Continue on with only the remaining horses.
