  • The most common betting systems that players use for roulette are geared towards Red and Black, but after that it is probably the Dozens and Columns. To cover them quickly, there are three different Dozen bets on the roulette table marked as: 1st 12, 2nd 12 and 3rd 12. There’s also 3 Column bets marked on the table as 2 to 1.
  • In roulette, you can bet on red or black, odd or even, or the 1-18 or 19-36 number groups at nearly 50/50 odds. You don’t technically get 50/50, however, because of the green zero number. Following the Martingale system in roulette is simple. Start with a low bet amount of, for example, $1. If you win, repeat. But if you lose, bet $2 next time.
Just wondering, which casinos offer the highest bet on an inside number? Casinos around here might have a $2000 max bet listed, this only applies to the outside bets. If you want to bet a number, maxed out at $100. I dont know if it's still true, but Turning Stone used to be limit the inside bet to $25, while otherwise accepting a $5000 max bet outside. What's the highest bet inside allowed in Vegas? Do the high limit tables require a buy-in greater than the highest inside bet?

Playing online roulette for real money. Head to your local casino and you will need to bet the minimum stakes to enjoy roulette. Stakes go up on weekends, with $5 to $10 on outside bets typically the smallest bets available. Head online, and you can play real money roulette for much smaller stakes.

Best bet on roulette tableThe most I know is $1000 straight-up on any number (pays 35-to-1). Many big casinos on the Las Vegas strip offer this. Hi rollers make what is called a $1000 'complete bet' (wagering a total of $40,000) that pays $392,000 if the main number hits.
Complete bets are described here:

Often, at this level, players are given loss rebate incentives in excess of 10% and roulette is single-0.

Thank you for answering. I can see why the bets seem low when I didn't even think of different bets combined being a reason I didn't know of. The limits are lower than I'd guess, but higher than being completely over protective.
I'll occasionally bet $25-50 and the dealers act like my dog died when I lose. Then those blue moons I win, they're so amazed. They act like it's a big deal either way, giving more attention than it warrants. Tipping is kind of difficult when all your chips are the same, tending to just use one to tip rather than get change.
I could use Wizard's craps strategy instead of roulette, but I like the simplicity of one bet won or done for small stakes. There is more pride lost letting it ride then losing in craps, plus I might chicken out part way through.

Best bet on roulette table
Quote: I think a long quote is allowed here on Wikipedia pages, if so, wikipedia

The maximum amount allowed to be wagered on a single bet in European roulette is based on a progressive betting model. If the casino allows a maximum bet of $1000 on a 35-to-1 straight-up, then on each 17-to-1 split connected to that straight-up, $2000 may be wagered. Each 8-to-1 corner that covers four numbers) may have $4000 wagered on it. Each 11-to-1 street that covers three numbers may have $3000 wagered on it. Each 5-to-1 six-line may have $6000 wagered on it. Each $1000 incremental bet would be represented by a marker that is used to specifically identify the player and the amount bet.
For instance, if a patron wished to place a full complete bet on 17, the player would call '17 to the maximum'. This bet would require a total of 40 chips or $40,000. To manually place the same wager, the player would need to bet:
17 to the maximum
Bet type
Number(s) bet on
Chips
Amount waged
Straight-up 17 1 $1,000
Split 14-17 2 $2,000
Split 16-17 2 $2,000
Split 17-18 2 $2,000
Split 17-20 2 $2,000
Street 16-17-18 3 $3,000
Corner 13-14-16-17 4 $4,000
Corner 14-15-17-18 4 $4,000
Corner 16-17-19-20 4 $4,000
Corner 17-18-20-21 4 $4,000
Six line 13-14-15-16-17-18 6 $6,000
Six line 16-17-18-19-20-21 6 $6,000
Total
40
$40,000

My understanding the same max applying to a single number also applied to corners and edges was wrong, so if the max on 17 was $100, $4000 could be bet around it(by a total maniac). Evenbob mentioned people in Vegas picking up losing bets and running out the door, but 40 chips would be too many. 😂

I don't play roulette, but I've never heard of this incremental thing. If table max inside is $1k, then that's it, you can only bet up to $1k per way. Maybe it's different for different properties, I don't know.

Thanks for this post from:
Roulette Maximums vary by casino.
Some casinos have a progressive max, and others have an anyway to the number max.
In many casinos you can negotiate higher limits.
For example at Caesars once they get to know you, and you put up a reasonable amount of front money, they will raise the max bet to 3k straight up.
MGM will often raise to 2k straight up.

The Complete Bet is a high table max coverage bet that covers all of the inside bets for an individual number. This is a bet that is usually played by high rollers and is also known as a Maximum Bet (although in theory you could also add some outside bets to the pot).

You would cover the even money bets and the columns and dozens that contain the number, but normally a Complete bet just involves the inside Bets. We also explain how to lay a Complete Bet on the number 23 in our numbers section, or scroll down for an explanation of how to make a Complete 17 bet.

A Mike Ashley Favourite
This is the famous Mike Ashley bet, the owner of English Premiership side Newcastle, who famously made a complete bet on his lucky number 17 in Mayfair, in 2008, and won £1.3 million.

To play the bet at a club, you’d need to call “Complete Bet on 17” for example, or “17 to the maximum”. I haven’t seen any online roulette tables offering this as part of their call bets, so you’ll need to make up the bet manually.

Pros and Cons of the Complete Bet

Roulette Bet Calculator

  • The Complete Bet spreads your risk across a bigger table area if you have a favourite number
  • If the bet comes in on your number or near it, it pays off big
  • It’s a way of maxing out on a single number, if you like – popular with players who want to make a scene at the table
  • If the ball falls out of your covered zone, this is an expensive way of playing roulette. It’s often played as a one off.

Here’s how you would do it (for a Complete Bet on 17). The table limits vary from table to table- below is just an example). You will need 40 chips – this assumes the maximum bet on a single number is £100.

Bet Type & Numbers

  • Split 17, 20 2 £200
  • Street 17, 16, 18 £ $300
  • Corner 17, 16, 13, 14 4 £400
  • Corner 17, 18, 14, 15 4 £400
  • Corner 17, 16, 19, 20 4 £400
  • Corner 17, 18, 20, 21 4 £400

The payout for this bet if your number comes in 9.8:1. Plus you get your original bet back of course.

You will also be paid out on the other numbers covered of course (to a lesser extent).

So, for example,

  • Completing the Zero costs 17 pieces and pays 235 pieces.
  • Numbers 1 and 3 cost 27 pieces and pay 297 pieces.
  • Number 2 is a 36 piece bet and pays 396 pieces
  • Number 27 – 30 pieces – pays out 294
  • Numbers 34 and 36 each cost 18 pieces and pay 198 pieces.

If you want to make a Complete Bet, but not at the table limits, ame sure you qualify your request to the croupier, and say something like “Complete Bet on 17 with £25”. That’s 40 bets for a total of £1000.

Where Can You Play a Complete Bet Online?

We haven’t seen this bet as a specific option on too many online variants- but you can play it on Playtech’s Multi-Wheel roulette (just de-activate the extra wheel if you only want to play one wheel). Click on the little button that says “More Bets” and you will have an option to play a Half Complete bet (just the Inside Bets) and a Complete Bet (including Outside Bets).

You will need a high limit variant. We’d recommend the 3D Roulette at Betfair Casino. There’s a £100 Match bonus.
